Edt works directly with schools, colleges, and local employers to deliver strategic, meaningful work experience. We bring over 20 years of expertise in designing high‑quality, safe, and impactful programmes that build students’ skills, confidence, and career readiness.

Our work experience service includes:

  • working with schools and local employers to coordinate a strategic, coherent, and meaningful work experience (WEx) offer for school and college students
  • securing, organising, and managing employer placements and placement schedules
  • completing health and safety checks and risk assessments for all placements
  • providing student/employer voice impact reports
  • curating and delivering meaningful, engaging work‑related learning events.

Careers Carousels

Our Careers Carousel events bring employers on‑site to deliver interactive, sector‑focused workshops aligned to your timetable.

Ìý

Each carousel includes aÌýminimum of three interactive, employer-led workshops, each featuring:

  • insight into the employer’s organisation and sector
  • a scenario-based task for learners to complete
  • feedback from employer representatives to support learning and engagement.

All workshops should be designed to reflect the general interests and aspirations of the learners, which schools will provide in advance to support employer targeting and content development.Ìý

Equalex

Equalex ensures every learner can access progressive, meaningful workplace experiences throughout
their education journey.

Each learner completes a minimum of two weeks’ work experience by Year 11:


• one week of work experience activities in Years 7–9
• one week of placements in Years 10–11


Equalex supports equitable participation for all learners and offers flexibility for schools, employers, and students.

Employer assemblies

Short, flexible sessions introducing learners to sectors, roles, and pathways in the labour market. Each assembly builds knowledge, confidence, and skills, and can lead into a meaningful curriculum project or activity.
